Winner of the 2025 Grawemeyer Award for Music Composition, Christian Mason’s music is characterised by interweaving and subtle metamorphoses of sounds that often create a dreamlike atmosphere. His pieces are presented alongside works by Visiting Professor Helena Tulve, Birtwistle and Academy composition students.

Iranian-German conductor Yalda Zamani, who is Assistant Conductor of Ensemble intercontemporain, gives her debut performance with the Academy Manson Ensemble.
